Angharad's Christmas 2024 single will be available on your usual digital platforms on 1st December.
I have a new song which will be released digitally on 3rd May. I really enjoyed writing and recording this one so I hope you'll like it too. It’s called Laru, which is a Welsh word for being really fed up with something… or in this case with someone. All tongue in cheek though i promise!
I'll be singing at Gwyl fach y fro on 18/05/24 and then I have a gig with Bronwen Lewis on 25/05/24 to raise money for the Eisteddfod so May will be full of excitement for me. I hope I'll see you at one of the gigs. Come and say hi!
2023 has been an amazing year for me, full of personal and musical achievements. I am forever grateful to everyone who gave me a chance to perform this year, to everyone who played my music on the radio or television, everyone who bought my music, who came to see me, who voted for me, who supported me in any way on this journey. I can't wait to see what 2024 will bring.
To end this exciting year, I have a new single out called Un Nadolig (One Christmas). The song was played for the first time on BBC Radio Cymru by Marci G on 27/11. It's available digitally now in all the usual places. I hope you enjoy the song. xxx
Fundraising gig, Friday 15 September at the University of South Wales Students Union, Treforest. Organised by the Taf Fundraising Committee. proceeds towards the 2024 Rhondda Cynon Taf National Eisteddfod.
Todd and I have been busy recording over the last few months at Stompbox. It will be a while before the second album is ready but this song had a summer feel to it so I wanted to release it now. The retro artwork by Letterfella fits the words so well. I wanted to write something that would make people smile. I hope this is a happy little song for the end of the summer holidays.
2023 has been an exciting year for Angharad Rhiannon and Alistair James as they both achieved musical ambitions. The friends have come together to celebrate by releasing the single 'Carnifal'. Carnifal was played for the first time on Ifan Jones Evans' programme on Radio Cymru on 27.06.23. Angharad and Alistair will be performing Carnifal on Heno, S4C on 06.07.23. The single will be available from 07.07.23.

Rhedeg Atat Ti was released on 30/08/22. The song was Track of the week on BBC Radio Cymru 22/08/22.
With Christmas approaching, you’re sure to hear some old festive favourites tinkling on your radio before long, but perhaps this year you may hear a new one…
Angharad Rhiannon’s first single was a hit with Radio Cymru. As I write this, Taro Deuddeg has been on the Radio Cymru playlist for 7 weeks continuously. It has also been played on Capital Cymru, GTFM and other radio stations. Angharad is releasing her second single, “Mae Santa ar ei ffordd” (Santa is on his way), on the first of December, ready for the festive season.
Angharad said, “This past year and a half has been difficult for us all, and especially to those who had to celebrate things like Christmas away from family and friends. I was hoping to write something that might raise a smile and encourage a bit of dancing and enjoyment for this year. I think we all need that.”
The song was written from an child’s perspective, with the excitement of Santa’s magical adventure, but is truly a song that children and adults can enjoy year after year.
Stephen Davies, Angharad’s uncle, designed the striking artwork that compliments the song perfectly.
“Mae Santa ar ei ffordd” will be available to buy, download or stream on digital platforms from the first of December this year
Angharad Rhiannon, from the Cynon Valley released her first single on 17th September. The single includes 2 Welsh tracks; Taro Deuddeg and Seren, and an English version of Seren, Northern Star. Angharad was a member of the band Dragonfall where she shared the stage with her parents, and she has also sung with Alistair James. This is her first single as a solo artist.
The artwork for the single was designed by Letterfella. The drawing was inspired by the lyrics for Taro Deuddeg, with the only brief from Angharad being to include stars.
Angharad began recording in 2019 in Stompbox Studio with Todd Campbell, but as many artists have experienced, the pandemic has prevented or slowed down the recording and production process. Todd is currently working on the finishing touches of Angharad’s first album, which she hopes to release next year.
